By leveraging our unique position as professionals, researchers and experts, we have built a structured and simplified platform that links global expertise with Ethiopian needs. Our rich network empowers communities, enhances educational opportunities and supports sustainable development in Ethiopia.
Through our efforts we aim to make a meaningful impact and foster cross-cultural collaboration, driving forward innovation and progress in Ethiopia. We aim to extend our services beyond Ethiopia to Sub-Saharan Africa and the Global South.

How we work
From expertise to impact, in three steps.
Build the expertise pool
We welcome professionals from the diaspora to become members of the association and categorise their expertise and experience in a searchable database.
Engage institutions
We engage with universities, hospitals, training centres and public institutions in Ethiopia, matching their requests against our expertise database.
Prioritise and deliver
Using our human and capital resources, we prioritise and address requirements based on the urgency of the issue, then deliver together with the requesting institution.

BE-NeST kickoff meeting
BE-NeST held its kick-off meeting on 12 October 2024 in Hamburg, with founding members travelling from Mainz, Berlin and Kiel, and others joining online.
BE-NeST is officially registered
The association is now entered in the German register of associations in Mainz under VR 42449.
